Dr. Mel Praxis (Host of Movie Madness):
Dr. Mel Praxis |
How do you celebrate the Holiday?
When asked this question, Dr. Praxis snorted and replied "As little as possible..."
What do you want for Christmas?
When asked this question he had no comment.
What was your favorite present you received for Christmas?
I guess the Hot wheels tracks and cars I received when they first came out. They were the Elmo of their day. Loved having drag races across the living room floor and having "Bat-chutes" for different cars. Didn't like having to disentangle from the rear axles of the cars, though. Mom had a decorative scale, each pan held plastic fruit. We took the fruit out and could loosen the nut holding the arm just enough for the arm to swing free. Then we would weigh the cars. Those being close to equal weight would drag race. Best if they came together at the end and knock each other off the track.
Sushi with sashimi
Will you have a Christmas special for your show? And if so when and where will it be shown?
No we are re-running episodes the week of Christmas and the week of New Years.
Don’t worry thought Dr. Mel Praxis will be back after the Holiday.

Bobby Gammonster (Host of Monster Movie Night) :
Bobby Gammonster |
How do you celebrate the Holiday?
My family and I celebrate Yule, which is a pagan festival that celebrates the coming of winter, in hopes that the gods will favor us and help us to be safe, warm and well fed until the sun returns to warm us again. We also celebrate Santa Claus, the toy making wizard of the north, who also "employs” a darker spirit called "Black Peter" who carries a book with the names of naughty children as well as the good. He uses his magic to reward the good children and puts coal , sticks or other rather distasteful things for the naughty ones in their stockings. However being a little "dark" ourselves we tend to enjoy gifts that would be of the "Halloween" or "Monster" type under our Black yule tree that we have been using annually
for quite awhile now. We also use a "Yule Log" which in this age it is a candle that resembles a log and we burn it for this time of year in honor of the gods.Plus we heat up the cauldron with nice scalding hot "egg nog" for the "carolers"
What do you want for Christmas?
This year I seem to have almost all that I have wished for, I just want my family to be happy and maybe a few creepy surprises under the tree to help my Monster Movie Night show along.
What was your favorite present you received for Christmas?
One of my most favorite gifts was a Green Ghost game. I remember how cheerfully frightened I was as I put my hand down in the dungeon of bat wings and felt their "feathery" feel, I didn’t learn til later that bats don’t have feathers, lol. My other favorite was my 1996 caddy Hearse I got last year. What more could anyone want?
Green Ghost Game. It glows in the dark. |
What is your favorite food to eat for Christmas dinner?
Roast buzzard was always a delicious meal, but since we got Boris my sidekick we have had to go with breast of alligator, nothing like a good piece of gator on Yule morning and chili.
Will you have a Christmas special for your show? And if so when and where will it be shown?
Yes, I have already put out my first one featuring "Santa Claus conquers the Martians" and next on Dec 24th I will be showing "Silent Night Bloody Night" starring John Carradine and Mary Woronov on Monster Movie Night at www.themonstermuseum.com. Our website has been updated by my wonderful wife, Melissa and now everything is located on one space, my show and the movie, just watches it on the website.
Have a very happy Christmas, Yule and season’s greetings! Keep Screaming

Gravely Macabre (The Host of Blood Castle) :
How do you celebrate the Holiday?
I love Christmas
I do not have the same hate of the holiday that so many horror fans seem to share. My Family was very small as a kid, no grandparents or cousins around, but the four of us always had a great holiday. We were a Textbook wonder year’s kind of family. We were not very well off, but there was always more than enough and I never felt disappointed in anything. My folks are long gone now, and my sister lives far away, but Christmas will still be spent with as much of the family as can manage it. Very traditional
What do you want for Christmas? What I want? Once you have a kid, you don’t care about what you want for yourself anymore. Even though my daughter is in her 20's now, it hasn’t changed. I want to spend time with loved ones. All in all I don’t really need anything. Though any new Nightmare before Christmas stuff that is out this year, would surely be appreciated
The Vac. U. Form Machine |
What was your favorite present you received for Christmas?
What is your favorite food to eat for Christmas dinner?
My favorite food is the old fashioned turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, then go into a coma on the couch.
Will you have a Christmas special for your show? And if so when and where will it be shown?
We haven’t made a new show in a while now, but we have Three Christmas shows out there in the rerun world. They were all in my top five favorite shows. I loved trying to show how the spooky wacky castle blood family spent their holidays.

“Since the beginning of time, or at least since my show started 22 years ago, I keep with the time honored tradition of Christmas reruns. Every year since the show began I just add a little more to our A Ghastlee Yule offering and re-gift it. Lol! A lot of great memories there, and we just keep adding new ones to the video scrapbook. Sometimes they are dark and irreverent, other times genuinely warm and fuzzy, but overall my Christmas shows have always been my personal favorites. Christmas or the “Horror days” as I like to call them (ha ha)… I always make sure that I have an endless supply of Beer and Doughnuts on hand. Then I like to decorate the place using spray paint and wreaths and other decorations made of human hair. In my family it was always tradition to meet up at my Grandparents house. Since my Grandfather died it has since became my Uncle's house but luckily he wanted to keep the tradition going. My parents, my cousins, my uncles, my aunts, and my Grandmother come from all over Pennsylvania and meet at the house where we eat some awesome Italian food, talk really loud, and then we exchange presents. My family and I still open presents on Christmas Eve. We set the entire day aside on Christmas Day to eat.
What do you want for Christmas?
I'm not really sure what I want. The things I want cannot be wrapped in boxes and bows. I want happiness always for myself, my friends, and my family. I want success in my endeavors. I want these things always. Not just on Christmas. Gift cards and cash are always good too.
Batman action figure |
What was your favorite present you received for Christmas?
Oh, I don't know. That's hard to narrow down. I will tell you this though: I've been an obsessive Batman fan since birth. Every Christmas my mom has bought me a Batman action figure. Any Batman-related present is a good present indeed.
What is your favorite food to eat for Christmas dinner?
My Mother cooks Pot Roast with Roasted Red Potatoes in an Onion Broth. Incredibly delicious!!!
Will you have a Christmas special for your show? And if so when and where will it be shown?
Yes, Roxsy Tyler's Carnival of Horrors will be running their first Christmas Special this mid December at http://vimeo.com/carnivalofhorror . Roxsy Tyler, Johnnie 13, and Dr. Villhelm wake up from a coma and find out they've been out since Halloween. Nigel Honey Bone
(Host of THE SCHLOCKY HORROR) :
Nigel Honey Bone |
How do you celebrate the Holiday?
Traditionally, Christmas is a time for family hi-jinx. For instance, I promised to take my little nephew to see Santa Claus, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse and I said, 'Oh no, Santa's Grotto has burned down. Christmas is canceled.' He cried and cried, but I think it builds character, and what better gift is there for a child?
What do you want for Christmas?
Nothing, really, when you exchange Christmas gifts with someone, you feel bad if the gift you gave them is cheaper than the gift they gave you. You also feel bad if it's the reverse. You're forced to calculate how much to spend on each person, which means putting a price on your love. They will say 'You don't have to get me anything, just as long as we can spend Christmas together' which is, of course, utter rubbish.
Killer Underwear |
What is your favorite food to eat for Christmas dinner?
It was Christmas back in 1958 that I discovered that Vincent Price can prepare a chicken cacciatore with nothing but three tins of cat food and a dishwasher. This is one of the best things he's ever done, along with that divine salmon mousse that I used to smear on myself at his dinner parties. Vincent should also be remembered for his versatility. After all, he was the only actor who could go from playing a romantic rival in the noir Laura (1944) and Leave Her To Heaven (1945) to, um, well, Doctor Goldfoot in Doctor Goldfoot And The Girl Bombs (1966). It wasn't just the girls that bombed. That was the thing about dear Vincent, as long as it kept him in gourmet meals he didn't care what he appeared in. Half the budget of Thirteen Ghosts Of Scooby Doo went on his wine list
Will you have a Christmas special for your show? And if so when and where will it be shown?
Russell Mulcahy. We had a thousand dancing girls and ten thousand balloons. During the course of the show I was fired from a cannon ten times. Special guests included AC/DC, Hugh Jackman and the mechanical pig from Razorback. We also had the Finn brothers, Neil and Tim, jumping on a trampoline juggling three kittens and a small chainsaw. The highlight was Nicole Kidman's bubble dance. I accompanied her by making various noises on a vacuum cleaner hose until I passed out. Then, of course, we get to the big finale - Spider Baby (1968) featuring a satellite interview with actor Sid Haig. What a great night.
Will you have a Christmas special for your show? And if so when and where will it be shown?
Due to budget restrictions and a number of AVOs drawn against me since last Christmas, I've decided to have a relatively quiet time this year. Nevertheless, I have something extra special for you from Lloyd Kaufman, the producer of such cinematic classics as The Toxic Avenger (1984), Sergeant Kabukiman (1990), The Class Of Nuke 'Em High (1986) and Tromeo And Juliet (1996). Before Halloween (1978), before Black Christmas (1974), there was Silent Night Bloody Night (1972), the very first of the seventies body-count slashers. Made in 1972 but not released until two years later, Silent Night Bloody Night is directed by Ted Gershuny and stars Patrick O'Neal and my old friends Mary Woronov and John Carradine. Admittedly, the connection to Christmas is pretty thin: The guy who sets fire to himself at the beginning of the film returns home on Christmas Eve, and one character hums 'Silent Night'. That's it. No killer Santa or Santa killings, in fact there’s absolutely no Santa to be found in this film at all!

Sluggo and I usually celebrate Christmas by roasting small creatures over a fire and watching cheesy horror and sci-fi movies on the internet! Sometimes Sluggo makes some eggnog from her own special recipe and we have a toast before bed
What do you want for Christmas?
This year I would really like to get back to my own time and space so I can spend time with Frau Zoid. However, I still need a part for my inter-dimensional time and space transportation device and I’m hoping Santa will bring it! There are only two of them in the entire universe so I really hope Santa can work his magic

What was your favorite present you received for Christmas?
The best Christmas gift I ever got was a “Fright Factory” It was a set of metal molds, an oven, and bottles of “goop” that I used to make scars, fangs, shrunken heads, etc! I wish I still had that thing!
Dr. Zoid was in charge of making the Christmas ham back in my own time and space! Since I've been trapped in the Vortex, and we don't have pork here, I have come to love Sluggo’s candied spider eggs! Would you like to sample some?

How do you celebrate the Holiday?
I am very much, a family person. I enjoy spending Christmas day with my Wife, Kim and our two children. We usually play video games, cook and eat. My son and I are both, big video game nuts so it's a safe bet that one of us will be getting a new system or game. We usually eat Turkey and mashed potatoes. This year, we are also going to try to cook Lasagna...so, it should be an adventure at the Dimension household.
What do you want for Christmas?
For Christmas this year, there are a few things I was hoping to nab: First and Foremost, a very happy upcoming year for my Family. My Daughter, for example turned 18 this year, she has college coming up and I really want the best for her. Next, I think I want a Wii, we had one when it first came out, then traded it in...I think I want another one. Also, some new editing equipment for our audio podcasts...and more listeners...Ha-ha. That's about it. I'm pretty plain..nothing major.
What was your favorite present you received for Christmas?
Years ago, when I was a kid...I was such a nerd...still am actually. I was fortunate to get the Star Wars Death Star on year...the Trash Compactor Creature, the foam trash for the compactor itself...the 3 levels of awesomeness. I miss those days, when toys were so awesome. I also go the Big Track by Milton Bradley, one year. It was the first computerized toy for kids to hit the market. That was another great gift and missed gem.
Death Star |
What is your favorite food to eat for Christmas dinner?
Years ago, when I first started dating my Wife, 20 years ago actually...Her Grandmother used to make homemade Manicotti. When I say, homemade, I mean Homemade. The homemade shells and the sauce were amazing. She was fresh off the boat (as they say) from Italy and would never settle for anything store bought. It's been years since I've had them, but I still think about her and them, every Christmas.

How do you celebrate the Holiday?
Well...seeing that this "Season" isn't actually my "thriving" time...surprisingly, I don't mind it all that much...in part...I appreciate the origins of this holiday that has been Soooo misconstrued and tailored throughout the ages that most folks have lost sight that Christmas began as a simple Pagan celebration and Feast in honor of the Winter Solstice...seeing that I am quite partial to the Winter months...I can certainly get behind that idea...So, for this Minister...it's always a Pagan Christmas for me!
What do you want for Christmas?

Dr. Lady
( The Host of The Late Dr. Lady Show):
Dr. Lady |
How do you celebrate the Holiday?
Although mostly a Halloweenie, I love Christmas too.
We've decorated our Christmas tree in some fun ways in the past too, like our all-H.P. Lovecraft tree, our all-spider tree, and the tree we decorated with toys and plush Godzilla monsters. I like to think of that one as our Toho-Ho tree.
I have some gore-geous Christopher Radko Universal Monsters ornaments, and most years we put those up somewhere.
Other than that, I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to the ghoultide season. I buy presents for a TON of people every year. Friends say I'm an excellent gift buyer. I'm okay with most of the standard holiday stuff. Except that I don't like most Christmas music, so sometimes I don't like to be out shopping very long at a time. Having to hear one song after another that I really don't like turns me into a bit of a were-Scrooge.
I like to make my own gift tags for the gifts I get Laura every year. So if you look under our tree you might see packages decorated with "To Laura From David" tags with likenesses of 'It' The Terror From Beyond Space, the Teenage Werewolf, Abnormal Cyrus the one-eyed teddy bear, Cthulhu, and other cheery folk.
Since I'm a Christian, I actually like the religious and the secular holiday stuff for the most part. Sure do get tired of the music, though
Godzilla tree |
I'd say "Peace on Earth", except that I'm convinced the only way that will ever be possible is if the human race is completely eradicated. And I don't really want it THAT badly.
What was your favorite present
you received for Christmas?
When I was a kid it was always the greatest thing in the world to get a new Don Post Studios monster mask for Christmas every year. I remember getting a Frankenstein one year, a Mummy another, a Phantom of the Opera another... those were always my faves.
What is your favorite food to eat for Christmas dinner?
The same foods I like the rest of the year. I'm afraid I have a pretty dull diet. I still eat like a 12-year-old boy.
Will you have a Christmas special for your show? And if so when and where will it be shown?
Every year we talk about doing a LATE DR LADY SHOW Christmas Special, but every year we fail to get it together. I'd like to think that one of these days we'll actually do it, especially since I already have so many great decorations that combine monsters and Christmas in some way, and Kellie owns like six Santa costumes! Hmmm... Maybe what I should ask Santa for is a period of several days when we can all get together-- me, Laura, Kellie and Wolfie-- and have sufficient time and inspiration to finally produce a special Christmas episode!

How do you celebrate the Holiday?
Well, You know? I generally have, and continue, to celebrate the Horrordays with beings of all sorts, since I do not subscribe to the 'traditional' experience that most people do. When you are generally spending this time away from many of what some would call 'family', It is a large part od my position here in Canada to make sure that even all sorts of Ghoulies, Ghosties, and things that go bump in the night also 'Feel The Love', However, for want of a better term, I think 'Pagan' describes my usual destination for festivities during this time of year.
What do you want for Christmas?
To be honest...Material things do not matter much here in The Gory Hole, I mean, I already have enough shrunken heads, beings both alive, and undead...I have just recently received (as you shall see in the next upcoming episode of The Gory Hole:Unlive) the Brain of the 'Head Scientist' whom was responsible for re-animating me, and giving life back to me to serve ICK (International Creature Klatch) the 'syndicate' that has been serving Teratology, Cryptology, what have you, that most humans feel better 'thinking' are just mere myths and legends, when in fact? They aren't...So? Having a talking, much alive, brain of such a dear being in my life...Well, you can imagine.
(However? I wouldn't turn down a nice 69 Stingray either...But? I digress)
Oops...Guess I jumped the gun on that one, hehe...Yeah, definitely my oldest, dearest fiend, The Dr. , as not only does it give me someone else to do my work with, But? He really does make an interesting conversation piece...And he IS Scottish...so, I can handle even the most boring conversations, and well? *with a smile* Playback's A Bitch....
What is your favorite food to eat for Christmas dinner?
Food? OH you mean digestion of all types of edible delights, Yes..I do remember when I was alive enjoying a good wine, a selection of sumptuous meats, an of course, whatever one of the 'gals' simmered up in her cauldron..I admit, I do so miss the Datura and Belladonna Brew...*sighs* You just cannot find a good grog these days. I know what I do not eat...and it is prolly because of what goes into getting this area's Zombie population here (We run a great program for the less 'vitally subsisting' undead here, and we try so very hard to make sure everyone gets at least one brain)
Will you have a Christmas special for your show? And if so when and where will it be shown?
Unfortunately, I am never sure when I can settle down, take some time out for myself, and get something sent through (I was provided with the camera for the strict use of it for anything related to my position with ICK..)So, I generally do the episodes when I can...I am as unpredictable as anything else in The Gory Hole is...It also helps when my senior Officer is not, well...'watching over', as it tends to ruin it. But? I will be doing an Interview with Dorian Destruction on the night of the 25th, Live and out through the airwaves, as they say, which I am looking forward to. Then? There is always The Monster Channel, where I can enjoy watching, and generally hanging out with my Sorors & Fraters in Frightslinging is always a good thing.
Again...Thank you so much, and remember you are most welcome to visit The Gory Hole any time you wish.
Just remember tho...Don't say I didn't warn you, because nobody will believe you...ha...haha...hah.

Mister Lobo ( The Host of Cinema Insonima):
How do you celebrate the Holiday?
This is the time of year where the stress of being a self employed artist erupts in a lava flow of tears, mucus, and self loathing. It’s almost impossible to get any work done-which creates a forced break from the only release Mr. Lobo has in his life. During this time Mr. Lobo likes to celebrate the Holiday by to curling up with a hot cup of instant Cocoa or Top Ramen, watching “Black Christmas”, and catching up on my Blog interviews.
What do you want for Christmas?
Being a horror host often means giving up on things like “wants” and “hopes” BUT…Mr. Lobo has been a good boy all year and I’ve asked Saint Santy for Health Insurance, a reliable production crew and a new suit. I do know I’m getting a new suit. Technically…Mr. Lobo wears a BLACK suit--but I’ll have a Dark Blue Suit that will help me stand out from the black background of THE VOID where my shows are mostly taped.
Oh, And I’m told that some other people may be asking for Peace On Earth…so I’m assume the "jolly old elf" is already working on that one.
Last year, I got 10,000 dollars from my fans or “CInsomniacs” via the CINEMA INSOMNIA 10th Anniversary Kick starter fundraiser. This amazing fan support was a surprise to me last December and proof that Mr. Lobo has the best fans in the world! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cinemainsomnia/cinemainsomnia-10-year-anniversary
A crown roast of BAT-RAT-SPIDER CRAB, RADIOACTIVE MAC & CHEESE, a cup of foamy HORSENMILKEN NOG, ZESTY BODYSNATCHER PODS, and Pecan Pie with a dollop of a sentient ooze called THE STUFF for desert.
Will you have a Christmas special for your show? And if so when and where will it be shown?
There is a HOLIDAY EPISODE that I am editing now…I’m hoping to have it on my YOUTUBE Channel before NEW YEARS-- http://www.youtube.com/CinemaInsomniaTV
It will also be aired on AMGTV stations coast to coast…My co-host and houseplant Miss Mittens is having a virgin birth…which is a big surprise to Mr. Lobo because I’ve never got past “third base”. We’ll make an announcement on the all new CinemaInsomnia.com shorty!
HAPPY HORRORDAYS

The Echantress Nocturna and Bone Jangler |
How do you celebrate the Holiday?
We celebrate the same way many others do. The family gets together, exchanges gifts, and we sit down to a great meal.
What do you want for Christmas?
I want for Enchantress Nocturna to be able to stand, and walk, on her own again, without pain. And, I want the coward who did this to her to be caught by the police, and made to pay for his crimes.
What was your favorite present you received for Christmas?
Tough question. Being healthy, and being together with loved ones, is sufficient, I think.
All he needs is Love and health |
What is your favorite food to eat for Christmas dinner?
I like turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, green beans, and crescent rolls, for Christmas, and Thanksgiving dinners.
Will you have a Christmas special for your show?
And if so when and where will it be shown?I LOVE Christmas! Between 2001 and 2009, we made 14 Christmas specials! Last year, we were unable to do one. This year, we've hosted a movie that I doubt anyone reading this has even heard of, let alone seen. The show will air locally on ACTV channel 10 in Western Chicagoland at 11:30pm Central on Friday Dec. 23rd, and again at 11:30pm on Christmas Eve.
The show also airs worldwide ONLINE, on Christmas Eve, at 3pm EST/2 CST/Noon Pacific on www.FVTV.info, and, again, at 8pm EST/7 CST/5 Pacific on The Monster Channel www.MonsterChannel.tv! Following the ONLINE airing on The Monster Channel is our "Best Of Christmas" special from 2007, featuring clips from every one of our Christmas specials made between 2001 and 2007! On Christmas Day, worldwide viewers can watch several of our Christmas specials from 2pm EST/1 CST/11am Pacific - 8pm EST/7 CST/5 Pacific!
So, yeah, when it comes to Christmas, I'm the Horror Host with the most!
Merry Christmas!

Zombie Hunter Crew |
A Bonus Gift: Patrick
(An actor on the show Zombie Hunters: City of the Dead):
How do you celebrate the Holiday?
Well, in my faith, our "christmas" falls on the Solstice for Dec 21st. But I was raised celebrating around the 24th and 25h, so now I have all three days! The Solstice is a time of nature's re-birth (thus why Christmas comes so close to it). On that day, I think about the world turning and life returning back. On Christmas Eve and Day, I'm with my wife and our family, going to see her grandmother.
What do you want for Christmas?
I want absolutely nothing other than health and happiness for everyone. I don't care that that sounds corny, it's all I want.
If I had to think of an object, it would be this little hand-held electronic pool game my father gave me when I was 12. I still have it. But the best 'present' I ever got was my wife marrying me on Dec. 20th. That was a pretty good gift!
Tough to say, I'm mostly just thankful that there is food, because for a lot of people, that's not guaranteed.
We're not exactly the "happy cheery" type of TV show, so there is a bit of a clash with Christmas and the end of the world. But if you want to see a GREAT Christmas special, just check out the new one from "Roxsy Tyler's Carnival Of Horrors"! It's a trip!
