September Netflix Monthly Horror Pick: Monster Squad

As everyone else in the world, I have also  fallen in love with Netflix's monthly content and selections. I have seen some great and some horrible horror movies through Netflix. I decided why not share my monthly picks of some of the great horror movies on Netflix  here.

The first Horror movie pick for September is Monster Squad (1987).

Monster Squad was a go to movie for my childhood around Halloween. It was a mix of two of my favorite type of movie character the Goonies and the Universal Movie Monsters. Monster Squad may have not been the Goonies but they still kind of had the same group dynamic of a bunch of kids that are seen as outcasts at their school band together to form a group to talk about their common interest monsters. Along the way they gain a rebellious teen  and a virgin to round out their squad. When monsters try to take over their town it is up to Sean and his squad to save their town and the world.

The Monster line up is the mummy, Frankenstein's monster, Dracula, Wolfman, and the Gillman. This movie basically got monster mayhem, quotable lines, crossbows, shot guns, and Nards. A classic movie that was directed by Fred Dekker, who also directed Night of the Creeps and Robocop 3.

This movie was recently added this month on Netflix. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do. Comment below with your own review. Check back next month for Octobers Netflix Horror pick and stay spooky.
